The Lebanese Army continues to pursue those involved in drug trafficking and seizes a large quantity of drugs

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

The Lebanese Army continues to pursue those involved in drug trafficking and the gangs that promote it. In this context, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested the citizen (Y.J.) in Chtoura for drug possession and promotion, as well as arms trafficking, in addition to attacking a hotel with a weapon. A quantity of drugs and a firearm were seized from him.

Additionally, a patrol from the same directorate seized a large quantity of drugs, prepared and packaged for smuggling, on the outskirts of Arsal.

The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the arrestee under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. Efforts are ongoing to arrest those involved in the smuggling operation.
