Extensive Security Measures across Various Lebanese Regions as Part of the Ongoing Pursuit of Wanted Individuals, Security Offenders, and Drug Traffickers

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the ongoing pursuit of wanted individuals, those disrupting security, and drug traffickers, Army units, each supported by a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence, carried out extensive security measures across various Lebanese regions. These measures included raids, foot and mobile patrols, and temporary checkpoints, resulting in the arrest of 44 citizens, 7 Syrians, and one Palestinian for committing various crimes, including gunfire, trafficking in military weapons and drugs, and illegal movement.

In addition, the citizen (B.H.) was arrested in the town of Arsal – Baalbek, and a warehouse belonging to him, which was being used for arms trafficking operations, was raided.

In the same context, the Directorate of Intelligence carried out raids on the residences of wanted individuals in the Mount Lebanon and Hermel regions, arresting 15 citizens for trafficking in military weapons.

As a result of these measures, a large quantity of weapons, military ammunition, drugs, and military equipment was seized.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
