Arrest of 9 Individuals for Firing into the Air in Beirut and the Southern Suburbs

As a result of the security measures implemented following the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement, army units in the city of Beirut and the southern suburbs arrested seven Lebanese citizens, one Syrian, and one Palestinian for firing into the air on the night of April 16–17, 2026.

Investigations with the arrestees were initiated, and they will be handed over to the competent authorities. Efforts are also underway to pursue the remaining individuals involved.
