The Army arrested three citizens for possessing weapons, and another individual for committing several crimes, including opening fire at an army soldier and a quantity of drugs was also seized
The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
An army unit carried out security measures in the city of Tripoli, including raids, mechanized patrols, and the establishment of temporary checkpoints, as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking and pursue individuals disrupting security.
In Al Tal, the unit arrested three citizens for possessing military weapons. In Abi Samra, it also seized a quantity of drugs intended for distribution.
Another army unit arrested a Lebanese citizen identified by the initials (AA.J.) in Ouzaii – southern suburbs (Dahyeh Janoubieh). He was wanted for committing several crimes, including opening fire at an army soldier, drug use, involvement in an armed altercation, intimidating citizens, and issuing threats.
The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
