The Lebanese Army Command Reaffirms Its Respect for Freedom of Expression and Calls for Responsible Conduct

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
In light of the exceptional challenges facing Lebanon, the Army Command reaffirms its respect for the right to the peaceful expression of opinion. At the same time, it calls on citizens to act responsibly amid calls for demonstrations and public gatherings in the city of Beirut and other regions, stressing the importance of unity and solidarity to overcome the threats facing our country.
The Army Command will not tolerate any breach of security or any threat to civil peace resulting from ill-considered actions, road blockages, or attacks on public or private property.
