Receipt of the Second Batch of Military Vehicles Donated to the Army by the Greek Authorities

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On August 29, 2026, the second batch of the Greek donation to the Army was received at the Port of Beirut. The donation comprises 13 M113 armored personnel carriers and 10 trucks. The handover took place in the presence of the Head of the Consular Section at the Greek Embassy in Lebanon, Ignatios Papadimitriou, the Greek Military Attaché, Colonel Nikolaos Salpingidis, and a number of Lebanese Army officers. The first batch had been received on January 16, 2026.
This donation comes as part of the Greek authorities’ support for the military institution, with the aim of enhancing its operational capabilities amid the challenges facing Lebanon.
This initiative also reflects the strong cooperation between the Lebanese and Greek Armed Forces and reaffirms the Greek side’s commitment to continuing its support for the Lebanese Army in recognition of its essential role in maintaining security and stability.
