Army arrests man who fired rockets at an army checkpoint, and two others for opening fire

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

An Army unit arrested a citizen (H.M.) in Hortala – Bekaa for firing gunshots and rocket-propelled projectiles at an Army checkpoint, throwing hand grenades toward a house, and engaging in drug trafficking.

An Army unit also raided the homes of wanted individuals in the towns of Kamed El Louz and Mansoura – Western Bekaa, and arrested citizen (S.KH.) for opening fire. A military weapon and a quantity of ammunition were found in his possession.

Another Army unit arrested citizen (F.GH.) in Al Rawda – Western Bekaa, for his involvement in an altercation during which gunfire was exchanged.

The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, and the investigation with the detainees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
