Army Arrests 12 Individuals for Firing Shots and 123 Syrians for Moving Around Lebanese Territory Without Legal Documentation; Seizes Weapons and Ammunition
The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Army units carried out security measures in various areas, including raids and temporary checkpoints, as part of efforts to pursue individuals disrupting public security and combat illegal infiltration into Lebanese territory. As a result, 12 individuals and 123 Syrians were arrested, as follows:
-Ten citizens were arrested in Faqra – Keserwan for firing shots. Weapons and military ammunition were seized in their possession.
-Citizen (H.A.) was arrested at Al Masida checkpoint in Arsal for having previously fired shots at an individual.
-Syrian (Z.D.) was arrested at Madfoun checkpoint in Batroun for possessing a military-grade pistol and ammunition.
A total of 123 Syrians were arrested in various areas for moving around Lebanese territory without legal documentation.
The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
