Arrests and the seizure of military weapons in several areas
The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Army units carried out extensive security measures across various areas of Lebanon, including raids and the establishment of temporary checkpoints, as part of efforts to pursue individuals disrupting public security and combat drug trafficking. As a result, 8 citizens and 41 Syrians were arrested, as follows:
Citizens (AA.CH.), (AA.Y.), (AA.M.), (Z.Z.), and (H.M.) were arrested in Al Khoder and Talia – Baalbek, while Syrians (AA.M.) and (AA.R.M.) were arrested in Al Qaa projects – Hermel, for opening fire. Weapons and military ammunition were seized in their possession.
Citizens (R.B.) and (Y.S.) were arrested in Mayfouq – Jbeil and Al Tal – Tripoli for possessing military weapons.
Citizen (AA.Z.) was arrested in Al Laylaki – Baabda, for opening fire and for forming an armed gang involved in intimidating individuals, fraud, and impersonating security personnel.
39 Syrians were arrested in Younine – Baalbek, Nabaa Al Safa – Chouf, and Chadra and Wadi Khaled – Akkar, for moving around Lebanese territory without legal documentation.
The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
