Army Commander-in-Chief from the Rangers Regiment in Roumieh – Matn: “We Will Persevere, No Matter How Great the Sacrifices, for the Salvation of the Nation. We Will Not Break, nor Will We Deviate from Our Principles”

Army Commander-in-Chief General Rodolph Haykal inspected the Rangers Regiment at the Ghassan Ramman Barracks in Roumieh – Matn, reviewing the regiment’s readiness.

During the meeting with officers and military personnel, General Haykal stressed the importance of continuing specialized training in special forces units and highlighted their essential role in carrying out precise, exceptional missions.

He also stressed that the Army’s strength in confronting major challenges, particularly the ongoing attacks and escalation by the Israeli occupation, stems primarily from the cohesion and resilience of its personnel, their strong commitment to the institution, and their loyalty to it.

Addressing the military personnel, General Haykal said: “Standing by the Army is a common sentiment among all Lebanese, regardless of their affiliations. They see the Army as their path to salvation, as a result of their trust in you and their appreciation for your sacrifices across Lebanon. The Army will remain the solution, regardless of the differences among the various parties.”

He noted that attempts to undermine the Army’s morale through rumors and false allegations are bound to fail and will not affect the determination of its personnel.

He added: “The nation is our greater family, and we will lead it to safety because it deserves every effort and sacrifice from us. Standing firm in the face of every storm without wavering is the greatest challenge. We will not break, nor will we deviate from our principles. Our duty is to protect all Lebanese and ensure stability, regardless of the criticism stemming from narrow interests.”

He said that, thanks to the sacrifices of its martyrs and wounded, and the determination of its military personnel, the Army has embodied a model of strength and resilience, proving its ability to face the most difficult circumstances and continue fulfilling its national duty no matter how severe the challenges become. He added that the Army endures circumstances that even the strongest armies might be unable to withstand.

He concluded by calling on the military personnel to continue their path of service and sacrifice, remain committed to their doctrine and their belief in their mission, so that the Army may continue to live up to its national responsibilities.
