Visitors of the Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief
Army Commander-in-Chief General Rodolph Haykal received at his office in Yarzeh U.S. Congressmen Darin LaHood and Josh Gottheimer, accompanied by a delegation. Discussions focused on the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as ways to address the challenges and difficulties facing the Army in carrying out its assigned missions. The meeting also covered the various missions undertaken by the Army across Lebanese territory.
Congressman LaHood praised the sacrifices of military personnel, stressing the importance of the Army’s role in maintaining security and stability in the country.
General Haykal also received South Governor Mansour Daou, who commended the cooperation between the Army and local communities, as well as its continued support for residents amid the current circumstances.
He also met with the Secretary-General of the American Lebanese Council (ALC) Elias Youssef Maroun, who affirmed the Lebanese diaspora’s support for the military institution. In turn, General Haykal praised efforts aimed at strengthening the ties between members of the Lebanese community abroad and their homeland.
