Launch of the Joint PEGASUS CEDAR 2026 Exercise Between the Lebanese and British Armies
As a continuation of the joint PEGASUS CEDAR exercises conducted by the Lebanese and British Armies since 2023, the joint PEGASUS CEDAR 2026 exercise will be launched on October 6, 2026, and will run for three weeks. A British team from the Royal Regiment of Scotland and the Lebanese Army’s Airborne Regiment will take part in the exercise, along with personnel from the armed forces of the United States, Italy, and France. Personnel from the armed forces of Cyprus, Qatar, and Jordan will attend.
The exercise aims to enhance the capabilities of military units and strengthen coordination between the Lebanese Army and friendly armed forces. It will include training in reconnaissance, raids, and combat in built-up areas, helicopter-borne operations, and mortar firing.
