Clash with the Lebanese Army Results in the Death of a Wanted Individual and the Arrest of 16 Wanted Individuals During Extensive Security Operations

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
During extensive security operations in Bekaa, an Army patrol came under fire in Temnine El Tahta – Baalbek while raiding the residence of the wanted individual (M.Q.). The soldiers returned fire, injuring him. He was transferred to a hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.
As a result of the security operations carried out in Majdal Anjar, Chtaura, Dalhamieh, Houch El Oumara, Jalala, Saadnayel, Taalabaya, Bar Elias, Riyaq, and Kfarzabad – Zahle, as well as Rawda and Marj – Western Bekaa, 16 wanted individuals were arrested, and military weapons and a quantity of ammunition were seized.
The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
