The army arrests a gang leader and six citizens for shooting, illegal possession of weapons, and involvement in altercations

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

An Army unit arrested a citizen identified by the initials (D.L.) in Rouissat al Jdeideh - Metn, following a security surveillance and monitoring operation. He is accused of forming a gang involved in motorcycle theft, in addition to using drugs, and is wanted under several arrest warrants.

Another army unit arrested three citizens in Kfour - Nabatieh, for shooting. Weapons, military ammunition, and military equipment were found in their possession.

A third army unit arrested three citizens for their involvement in a clash in the old souks of Tripoli and seized a firegun.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees have begun under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
