A ceremony honoring former Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Walid Salman

LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi headed in Yarzeh today a ceremony honoring former Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Walid Salman on the occasion of his retirement. The ceremony was held in the presence of current Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Hatem Mallak, members of the military council and a number of major officers of the command. General Kahwaji delivered a speech on the occasion in which he commended the journey of Major General P.S.C Salman who left bright fingerprints in the various functions occupied by him reaching the command of Staff. General Kahwagi also commended Major General Salman's efforts exerted in preserving the military institution and developing its capabilities, as well as his major role in boosting the practical and combat performance of the military institution, particularly during the clashes of the army with terrorist organizations during the past years. Moreover, General Kahwagi congratulated Major General Mallak for assuming his new position.


Furthermore, Major General Salman delivered a speech in which he thanked the LAF Commander for his appreciation and affection and confirmed that the efforts he exerted in performing his duty only emanates from his belief in Lebanon and in the role of the military institution in preserving Lebanon. Major General Salman expressed his total confidence that the institution will remain protected and successful in light of General Kahwagi's command who aims to boost the capabilities of the LAF and to consolidate their national message.
At the end of the ceremony, General Kahwagi presented to Major General Salman the army shield as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
