Visitors of General Kahwagi

The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Jean Kahwagi received in his office in Yarzeh the Chinese Armed Forces Commander General Fan Changlong who headed an accompanying delegation and discussions during the visit addressed bilateral relations between the Armies of both countries particularly in the field of armament, equipment and training in addition to the missions conducted by the Chinese battalion operating under UNIFIL Command. Afterwards, General Kahwagi and General Changlong signed in the presence of the Chinese delegation and the Lebanese Army Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Hatem Mallak and a number of Army senior officers a donation agreement offered by the Chinese authorities to the Lebanese Army. General Kahwagi delivered a speech on the occasion in which he welcomed the visiting delegation and praided the development of the ties of cooperation between the armies of both countries and the assistance provided by the Chinese authorities to the Lebanese Army during the past years. In his turn, General Changlong said in his speech that his country has set an assistance program dedicated to the Lebanese Army in the coming years. Furthermore, General Changlong confirmed that these ties of cooperation come as a natural result following the historic relations joining the two friend peoples and he expressed his deep appreciation to the role played by the Lebanese Army and the distinguished competence of its troops.
