The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun toured the military units deployed in the barren lands of Ersal

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun who was heading a delegation from command officers inspected the military units deployed in the barren lands of Ersal where he toured the frontline combat posts and was informed of their field procedures in order to face terrorist groups and preserve the stability of the region. During his meeting with officers and soldiers, General Aoun commended their efforts and sacrifices in order to preserve the security of the region and control borders in orders to prevent the infiltration of terrorists. General Aoun also confirmed that the LAF will continue to target terrorist dens and gatherings and instantly halt any terrorist activity or movement with different weapons. The Armed Forces Commander also stated that the mission of defending the eastern borders from terrorist organizations goes hand in hand with defending the southern borders from the Israeli enemy, for both missions have a direct impact on preserving security inside the country. Moreover, General Aoun stated that the raging regional crises due to the conflict of wills and the interlacement of international interests over the land of the region require the army to remain highly prepared. General Aoun added that the army’s priority at this critical stage is protecting the national stability and the LAF will firmly halt any security infringement.
In the end, General Aoun assured the villagers of borderline regions that the situation at the borders will remain completely under the control of the LAF which will remain by their side and will protect them, regardless of the sacrifices and price.
