Army forces advanced toward the high lands of Hoqab Khazaal

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

In the frame of continuing to tighten the noose around the terrorist organization “ISIS” in the barren hills of Ras Baalbek and el-Qaa, army forces advanced toward the high lands of Hoqab Khazaal and took control of these positions after clashes that resulted in the death of 6 militants including a militant leader and the destruction of a mortar emplacement.

5 Lebanese army troops including an officer suffered from minor injuries during the confrontation and army forces confiscated quantities of weapons and military ammunition left behind by the terrorists.
