Appointment of Brigadier General P.S.C Antoine Sleiman Mansour as the Director of the Directorate of Intelligence

Based on the proposal of the Military Council in the session held on 11/4/2017 and following the approval of the Minister of National Defense, Brigadier General P.S.C Antoine Sleiman Mansour was appointedas the Director of the Lebanese Army Directorate of Intelligence.

The following information offer a brief summary of his life and career:

  • Born in the village of el-Hosh – Rashaya on 8/12/1962.
  • Enlisted in the Army as a Cadet Officer on 9/1/1984.
  • Graduated from the Military Academy as a Lieutenant starting 1/8/1986 and gradually rose through the ranks to Brigadier General P.S.C. starting 1/7/2014.
  • Holder of a degree in Military Science and masters the French and English languages.
  • Followed several training sessions in Lebanon, the United States of America, France and other countries, particularly in the fields of Intelligence and fighting terrorism.
  • Assumed different Command positions.
  • Received the following medals and decorations: Medal of war, Medal of the South Dawn, Military Valor medal in Silver Degree, Lebanese Order of Merit of the 2nd and 3rddegree, National Order of the Cedar in Knight Grade and Officer Grade, Counter Terrorism Medal.
  • Commendation of the LAF Commander 7 times and felicitation of the LAF Commander (23 times).
  • Married with five children.
