Approximately 64 million Captagon pills were seized at a facility in Bouday-Baalbek, in one of the largest drug seizures ever recorded on Lebanese soil

The LAF Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of efforts to combat drug trafficking across various regions of Lebanon, and following surveillance and monitoring of drug trafficking gangs in the Bekaa region, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence, supported by a LAF unit, carried out a raid on a facility in Bouday – Baalbek. Approximately 64 million Captagon pills were seized, along with 79 barrels of chemical substances used in drug manufacturing, in addition to many machines used for production. This operation is considered one of the most significant, resulting in the seizure of one of the largest drug quantities ever recorded on Lebanese soil.

The seized items were handed over, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the members of the gang involved in operating the facility.
