The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun inspected army forces deployed in Ersal

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun inspected army forces deployed in Ersal following the raid executed at dawn in Nour and Qariya Syrian refugee camps where he met with the officers and soldiers who executed the mission and was informed of their situation and different needs. The Armed Forces Commander commended their sacrifices and wished their wounded comrades a speedy recovery while commending their bravery in facing terrorists as well as their performance of the mission with high professionalism and firmness. General Aoun also commended the soldiers’ full commitment to prevent any losses among the residents of the camps. He also confirmed the command’s permanent commitment to protect civilians through all military operations. General Aoun stated that what happened today confirms once again the army’s strict decision to take down terrorist organizations, cells and members wherever they existed on the Lebanese territories, regardless of the price and sacrifices and stated that the coming stage will witness intensive qualitative in order to eradicate this evil that pays no attention to the lives of humans and that is nonchalant towards religious, humanitarian and ethical values.

Moreover, the Armed Forces commander called upon the soldiers for further awareness and preparedness to sacrifice in defending the nation and preserving the journey of its security and stability.

On the 1 year memorial since the explosions of Qaa, the Armed Forces Commander visited the municipality building in the town where he met with the members of the municipal council, Mukhtars and several villagers who expressed their appreciation to the efforts and sacrifices of the LAF in protecting the villagers of borderline villages. Furthermore, General Aoun ensured the villagers that the LAF will remain on their side and will not allow terrorism to threaten their security and safety.
