The Armed Forces Commander inspected the 3rd Intervention Regiment

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun inspected this morning the headquarters of the 3rd Intervention Regiment and was informed of its situation and security missions, then met with the officers and soldiers and provided them with the necessary directives. Moreover, General Aoun inspected the training center of the regiment and toured its workshops, then attended combat maneuver executed by several trained troops.
General Aoun reiterated the preparedness of the LAF at the southern border to face any Israeli military assault or any attempt to takeover a part of its land and naval borders. General Aoun also stated that the LAF have the complete will to defend the Lebanese rights with all their available possibilities, regardless of the enemy’s threats and provocations. Moreover, General Aoun added that this preparedness goes in parallel with the army’s monitoring of terrorist cells as well as preserving stability on the inside and fighting organized crime, particularly murder, theft and narcotics. In addition, General Aoun stated that the LAF are impartial towards all citizens and will perform their duty far from politics and with the spirit of objectivity, professionalism and discipline.
In the end, General Aoun confirmed that the LAF will be up to the citizens’ trust through defending the nation and preserving its security and stability.
