The Armed Forces Commander inspected the female soldiers course in the Republic Guards Brigade

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun inspected the female soldiers course in basic training in the Republic Guards Brigade and was informed of their situation and provided them with the necessary directives.

General Aoun stressed the importance of the role of the woman in the army, particularly in administrative, medical and logistic units and stated that her outstanding performance in facing dangers with no hesitation in the military police during Ersal has contributed in providing support and facilitating the work of combat units. General Aoun also highlighted the success of recruiting female soldiers in the military institution which started during the term of the President of the Republic General Michel Aoun in 1989 an confirmed that this concept will continue in order to boost the role of female soldiers and increase their number in the future, basing on the army’s belief in equality between all citizens and participating together developing the country and defending it.
