The Armed Forces Commander inspected the Intelligence branch of Mount Lebanon in Rihaniye

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun inspected this morning the Intelligence branch of Mount Lebanon in Rihaniye where he toured the posts and was informed of its activities and missions. General Aoun then met with the officers and soldiers and provided them with the necessary directives.

General Aoun also commended the efforts exerted by the Intelligence directorate with all its branches as well as its accomplishments on different levels, particularly in taking down terrorist webs and tracking down all sorts of organized crime. Moreover, General Aoun stated that the Intelligence Directorate is the guardian of the army’s safety and the nation’s security and stressed that the critical phase that the country is going through requires all soldiers to double their efforts on the field and boost preemptive security in order to take down terrorist cells and counter organized crime as well as arrest security saboteurs and outlaws, regardless of their affiliation. 

In the end, General Aoun confirmed that the security situation is under control and that protecting the national stability is an ultimate priority for the army.
