The Armed Forces Commander inspects the military academy and the housing department for soldiers

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun visited this morning the military academy in Fiyadiye on the occasion of the enrolment of new cadets in the academy. He addressed them saying: “you have passed difficult tests that aimed to select the most competent. Success wasn’t the only standard. There was also competence and taking the best place. You have come from all over the nation and you have proven that the military institution is for all regions, categories and social levels.”

General Aoun added: “for the second year in a row, we have committed to the same target and vision and to the fixed standards representing competitive tests to select the most competent of applicants, taking in consideration the required confessional distribution. We have sensed acceptance from all people in terms of our decision, as they believe in the military institution.”

Moreover, General Aoun welcomed the new cadets in the institution of Honor, Sacrifice and Loyalty stating: “ the road before you is long and tough and filled with difficulties. However, after your graduation from the military academy, you will be brave men capable of assuming responsibility.” General Aoun also commended the inspecting committee and its professionalism.”

Afterwards, General Aoun inspected the housing department for soldiers and attended a briefing offered by the commander of the department. He then toured the divisions and met with the officers and soldiers. General Aoun expressed his appreciation of the main role played by the department in order to provide proper residents for soldiers and confirmed that the command consistently aims in coordination with different relevant authorities to solving the crisis of loans and enable the department to continue with its work.
