The Armed Forces Commander visited the Guard and Defense of Rafic Hariri International Airport battalion and Beirut Airbase

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun visited this morning the Guard and Defense of Rafic Hariri International Airport battalion ‎and inspected the work conduct in it. General aoun then moved to Beirut Airbase where he toured the2nd wing of the Airforce and was informed of their capabilities in maintenance and constant work to preserve the readiness of the airplanes with the presence of several officers. in his speech addressed to the soldiers, General Aoun commended their efforts in order to preserve the airport security in light of major challenges through arresting assaulters and unveiling smuggling operations that form a major challenge for major states of the world that aim to invest in security and the LAF in light of their challenges. General Aoun confirmed that the LAF in the airport is as important as its existence along the borders and passages and stated that stability is a major element in the economic cycle, particularly during the holidays.

Moreover, General Aoun stated that the LAF will remain constantly prepared to perform its role in preserving internal security just as border security and that what distinguishes it is strong will and dedication in performing its missions despite modest financial and logistic capabilities. General Aoun also confirmed that the LAF will remain the idol and center of trust of the Lebanese.
