The Army Accompanies the Return of Residents to Southern Villages and Towns

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

The army is accompanying residents returning to their villages by reinforcing its deployment in the area south of the Litani River, while simultaneously carrying out its missions across all Lebanese regions to ensure the safety of citizens. In this context, the army is setting up temporary checkpoints, reopening roads, removing obstacles, and detonating unexploded ordnance.

In this regard, an army unit has reopened the Debbin – Marjayoun road, which had previously been targeted by an Israeli attack that led to its closure. Another unit had also reopened the Qasmiyeh coastal bridge in Tyre, while work is ongoing to repair a number of bridges.

The Army Command once again stresses the need for citizens to comply with the instructions of deployed military units and to avoid using roads closed by the army, as they lead to villages where Israeli occupation forces are still present.
