The Army Arrests 11 People, Including Two Lebanese citizens for Opening Fire during an clash, and 131 Syrians for Entering Lebanese Territory Illegally; Weapons and Military Ammunition Seized

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Army units carried out security measures in various areas, including raids and temporary checkpoints, as part of efforts to pursue individuals involved in security violations and combat drug trafficking. As a result, 10 Lebanese citizens, one Palestinian, and 131 Syrians, as follows:
- Arrest of the citizens (N.M.) and (AA. D.) in Jlala – Zahle for opening fire during a clash. A military pistol and hand grenades were seized.
- Arrest of 3 citizens in Jounieh – Keserwan and Brital – Baalbek for drug trafficking. A quantity of drugs was seized.
- Arrest of Five Lebanese nationals and one Palestinian in Zghadraya – Sidon for opening fire. Weapons and military ammunition were seized.
- Arrest of 131 Syrians in Dabbabiyeh and Chadra – Akkar areas for entering Lebanese territory illegally.
The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
