Army Arrests 25 Individuals, Including Members of a Theft Gang, and Seizes Weapons, Ammunition, and Drugs

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Army units carried out security operations in various areas, including raids and temporary checkpoints as part of efforts to pursue individuals suspected of threatening public security. The operations resulted in the arrest of 4 individuals and 21 Syrians, as follows:

Raids on the homes of wanted individuals in Brital – Baalbek, and the arrest of the Lebanese citizens (M.M.) and (S.M.) for forming a theft gang, with the seizure of a quantity of narcotics.

Raids on the homes of wanted individuals in Kfarzabad – Zahle, and the arrest of the Lebanese citizen (A.Sh.) for engaging in smuggling activities, with the seizure of weapons, ammunition, hand grenades, in addition to military equipment.

Arrest of 21 Syrians in the Wadi Merhej – Arsal for illegally entering Lebanese territory.

Arrest of the Lebanese citizen (AA.Kh.) in the Ouzai area – Baabda for committing several crimes: opening fire and wounding an individual, instigating disturbances, theft, extortion, and drug use.

The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
