Army Arrests Five Citizens for Opening Fire in Baalbek and Zahle, Seizes Drugs and a firearm

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

An Army unit raided the residences of wanted individuals in Hay Al Sharawneh (Al Sharawneh neighborhood) – Baalbek and arrested citizens (AA.Sh.) and (W.N.) for opening fire. A quantity of drugs, along with military ammunition and equipment, was seized.

The same unit also arrested citizen (H.M.) at Al Khodr checkpoint – Baalbek for opening fire.

Other Army units also raided the residences of wanted individuals in Qab Elias– Zahle and arrested citizens (G.AA.) and (A.AA.) for opening fire. A firearm was seized from the residence of the first individual.

The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, and investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
