Army Arrests the Head of a Kidnapping and Robbery Gang in Laylaki – Dahyeh Janoubieh (Southern Suburbs), along with Several Individuals Involved in a Kidnapping in Saadnayel – Zahle, and Seizes Weapons and Military Ammunition

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Following surveillance and security monitoring, an Army unit arrested Lebanese citizen (A.Sh.) in Laylaki – Dahyeh Janoubieh (Southern Suburbs) for committing various crimes, including forming an armed robbery and theft gang, carrying out kidnappings, assaulting military personnel and an Internal Security Forces patrol, burglarizing residences, extortion, and opening fire.
An Army unit also raided the residences of individuals involved in the kidnapping of Palestinian national (A.A.) in Saadnayel – Zahle, following a personal dispute between them. Citizens (S.Q.), (R.Sh.), and (Z.Sh.) were arrested, and the abducted individual was rescued. A quantity of weapons and military ammunition was also seized.
Other Army units arrested 106 Syrians in border areas in Hermel and Akkar for illegally entering Lebanese territory.
The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining individuals involved in the kidnapping.
