Army Arrests Six Individuals Involved in the Attack on a UNIFIL Patrol
The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
During the night of 4–5 December 2025, a number of citizens attacked a United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) patrol on El Tiri road –Bint Jbeil, causing damage to one of its vehicles, without any casualties among its personnel. The Army immediately began following up on the incident to pursue the perpetrators, and as a result of the investigation, the Directorate of Intelligence arrested six individuals involved in the attack.
The Command stresses the seriousness of any assault on UNIFIL and affirms that it will not tolerate pursuing those involved. It also highlights the essential role played by UNIFIL in the south Litani region, the close coordination between UNIFIL and the Army, and its effective contribution to efforts aimed at restoring stability.
The investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
