The Army Command extends its condolences on the death of Corporal Anicet Girardin of the French contingent in UNIFIL, who succumbed to his injuries following the attack on a UNIFIL patrol on April 18, 2026.

The Command renews its condemnation of any assault against UNIFIL and affirms that investigations will continue until the perpetrators are arrested.
