Army Commander in Chief inspects a number of border posts in Ras Baalbek and Al-Qaa
On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the "Fajr al-Juroud" (Dawn of the Outskirts) battle, the Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun inspected a number of border posts in Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa, accompanied by Mrs. Majida El-Roumi, who planted a cedar tree in memory of the martyrs at the headquarters of the 2nd Land Border Regiment in Ras Baalbek, where General Aoun also placed a Wreath at the Martyrs' Monument.
Mrs. Al-Roumi praised the role of the army, especially at this delicate and sensitive stage, and addressed the soldiers by saying: "You are our hope and all hopes are on you. The sacred soil of Lebanon swears by your name. We know that you are facing difficult circumstances, but you were and will remain the protectors of Lebanon. I have the honor to be a soldier like you. We are all soldiers at the disposal of Lebanon, you are sovereignty, dignity and honor, we are with you in one trench until martyrdom. We believe in our cause, and together we will complete the road and we will live free.
General Aoun inaugurated a number of roads that form a link between the border military posts in the outskirts of Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa, from which the farmers of the area also benefit. He also laid the foundation stone for the military police station in the town of Ras Baalbek in the presence of prominent figures from the town and the neighboring villages. He also inaugurated the "Fajr of Liberation (Dawn of Liberation) Monument", and laid the foundation stone for a post for the Intelligence Directorate in the town of Al-Qaa, in the presence of the region's prominent figures.
General Aoun delivered a speech in which he praised the sacrifices made by the military, especially in light of the complexity of the tasks they perform in conjunction with a stifling crisis of economy and livelihood, calling on them to persevere in this ordeal out of faith in Lebanon and to stand by the citizens who trust them.
The Army Commander also commended the soldiers' performance and commitment to the tasks required of them with professionalism and discipline despite the difficult and stressful conditions they live in.
