Army Commander-in-Chief participates in the Manama Dialogue 2025, organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS)

Army Commander-in-Chief General Rodolph Haykal participated in the Manama Dialogue 2025 held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, from October 31 to November 2, 2025. The dialogue brought together senior officials, including ministers, heads of security agencies, and army commanders from various countries around the world. It featured the presentation of strategic visions emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and the adoption of comprehensive approaches to security and peace, while also calling for dialogue and realistic planning to address the root causes of crises and promote sustainable development.
On the sidelines of the dialogue, General Haykal held a series of meetings with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, Saudi Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khaled Al Bayari, Commander of the U.S. Central Command Admiral Brad Cooper, UK Chief of the Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton, French Presidential Adviser for Middle East and North Africa Affairs Anne-Claire Legendre, and the Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) retired Air Marshal Samy Sampson. 
The discussions focused on strengthening the army’s capabilities amid the current sensitive circumstances, maintaining the cessation of Israeli assaults and violations, and ensuring compliance with the ceasefire agreement.
He also met with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al Hunaiti; the Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al Shraiaan; the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone; the Director for the Middle East, North Africa, and Gulf at the European Commission, Stefano Sannino; the Director of Analysis and Studies at the Italian Supreme Defense Council, Lieutenant General Stefano Del Col; and the Head of Cypriot Intelligence, Tasos Tzionis.
