The Army Continues Counter-Drug Operations and Pursuit of Law Violators across Various Regions

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
The army continues its operations to combat drug trafficking and pursue individuals disturbing public order across various regions. In this context, an army unit, supported by a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence, destroyed an area cultivated with marijuana in the town of Younine – Baalbek. Another unit arrested the Palestinian (AA.AA.) at the entrance of Ain Al Hilweh camp – Saida, for possessing a quantity of drugs, which were confiscated.
Furthermore, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence arrested, in Sahraa Choueifat, the citizen (M.Z.), wanted for multiple crimes including kidnapping, robbery, theft, drug abuse, shooting, causing disputes, and extortion.
Another patrol from the Directorate also arrested, in Msharrafieh – Baabda, the citizen (A.M.) for stabbing individuals and participating in the murder of others. A war pistol without a permit was found in his possession.
The confiscated items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
