The Army Headquarters declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Zouheir el-Tanneer

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Zouheir el-Tanneer who passed away on 3/11/2016 and the following excerpts offer a summary of his biography:
Born on 13/08/1933 in Beirut
Enlisted in the Army as a Cadet Officer starting 16/10/1952 and was promoted to Second Lieutenant starting 20/9/1955 and rose through the ranks and became Brigadier General starting 1/1/1982.
Received several medals and the commendation of the LAF Commander several times.
Followed several training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
Married with 4 children.
The body will be transported from the Central Military Hospital at 10:00 to the Khashikji mosque on 5/11/2016 where the funeral will take place on the same day at 11:30.
Condolences can be paid before and after the funeral in the residence of the deceased in Kaskas and on 6 7/11/2016 starting 15:00 till 18:30 in the Khashikji mosque.
