Arrest of 3 individuals in Brital – Bekaa and Ain Al Dahab - Akkar

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution in various areas, 2 army units, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, arrested 3 individuals as follows:

• Citizen (J.AA.) in Brital - Bekaa for committing crimes: smuggling of firearms for the benefit of terrorist organizations in the outskirts of the town of Arsal, kidnapping citizens, threatening an army soldier with murder, stealing cars and transporting them to Syria, smuggling drugs and counterfeit currency to Syria.
• The citizens (AA.M.) and his son (M.M.) in Ain Al Dahab - Akkar for opening fire. Firearms, ammunition, and military equipment were found in their possession.

The confiscated items were handed over, and the investigation with the arrestees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
