The arrest of 4 individuals in Al Tabbaneh – Tripoli, Tal Al Abyad – Baalbek, and Chiyah

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 26/04/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, supported by an army unit, raided in Al Tabbaneh – Tripoli the residence of the citizen (M.T.) and arrested him for being involved in a shooting incident on 12/07/2023, resulting in the death of another citizen (A.M.).
Another patrol arrested in Tal Al Abyad – Baalbek the citizens (AA.J.) and (M.F.) for forming a drug trafficking gang and for opening fire. An amount of drugs prepared for promotion was seized in their possession.
Furthermore, an army unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided in Chiyah the residence of a citizen (N.Sh.). He was arrested for committing crimes related to arms trafficking, drug trafficking, and opening fire. A large quantity of firearms, rifles, and hand grenades was seized in the operation.
The confiscated items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
