The arrest of 6 individuals in Abi Samra and Harat Al Branieh – Tripoli and Hay Al Sharawneh – Baalbek

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 20/06/2024, an army unit supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the residences of wanted individuals in Abi Samra and Harat Al Branieh – Tripoli and arrested the citizens (M.R.), (M.T.), and (AA.R.) for opening fire during a clash that led to the death of a citizen. Firearms, ammunition, and an amount of hashish were seized in their possession.
Moreover, an army unit supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate carried out security measures in Hay Al Sharawneh – Baalbek, resulting in the seizure of a stolen car and the arrest of Syrians (Kh.M.), (AA.AA.), and (Sh.M.) for roaming without legal documents.
The seized items were handed over and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
