Arrest of an individual for shooting a citizen, resulting in his death

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On April 7, 2026, at approximately 20:30, a citizen (R.N.) opened fire on another citizen in the Hay al Sellom– Southern Suburb (Dahiyeh Janoubiyeh), resulting in his death. Immediately, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate headed to the area, arrested the shooter, and seized the military pistol used in the crime from his possession.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the arrestee has been initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
