Arrest of one of the most wanted individuals and the rescue of a Syrian minor

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On August 26, 2025, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the residence of the wanted Palestinian individual (M.GH.) in Burj Al Barajneh camp and arrested him. He is one of the most wanted individuals for committing several crimes, including: firing shots and throwing grenades at citizens, forming a gang to steal motorcycles, armed robbery, creating disturbances, extortion, as well as drug use and trafficking. During the raid, the wanted individual fired at the patrol members, who responded in kind, resulting in his injury. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Another patrol from the Intelligence Directorate succeeded in rescuing the Syrian minor (J.J.) in the Jurud Al Khraybe - Baalbek. He had been kidnapped by armed men from Douris - Baalbek due to a dispute that occurred between smugglers at the eastern Lebanese-Syrian border.

An investigation has begun under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the members of the kidnapping gang.
