Arrest of suspects in Baalbek – el-Hermel

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On this date, an intelligence directorate patrol arrested in the neighborhood of el-Khodor – Baalbek (A.A) and (A.A) for the crime of forming a car theft gang with the notorious and wanted outlaw (A.A) who goes by the nickname “Abou Jazma”. The troops found with the suspects a package of narcotic pills, a stolen dark blue Hyundai and a motorcycle without papers. The troops also confiscated in el-Mesherfeh – el-Hermel a vehicle that was stolen at a previous date. The troops also arrested the Syrian (T.A) for the crime of smuggling individuals from Lebanese territories to the Syrian territories and vice versa.

Furthermore, in the region of el-Assi – el-Hermel, another intelligence patrol arrested (A.H) who is one of the most dangerous wanted outlaws involved in car theft for the crime of forming a gang specialized in stealing wooden and iron bridges. The matter is still being investigated to arrest the remaining perpetrators.

The suspects and the seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities and investigation is in process under the supervision of the judiciary.
