Arrest of Two Citizens for Causing a Clash in Sabtieh – Metn, and Destruction of Marijuana Tents in the Fields of Iaat – Baalbek

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Following a series of monitoring and security follow-up operations conducted by the Directorate of Intelligence, and in reference to the previous statement issued on 5/11/2025 regarding the pursuit of those involved in disputes, a patrol from the Directorate arrested the citizens (AA.Z.) and (H.R.) for causing a Clash in Sabtieh – Metn on 3/11/2025. They are wanted for forming a drug trafficking gang and for opening fire. A large quantity of drugs, along with weapons and ammunition, was seized in their possession.

Another patrol from the Directorate raided the residences of the wanted individuals (N.Z.) and (B.Z.) in Sharawneh– Baalbek, seizing military ammunition, military equipment, and vests belonging to security agencies used to facilitate drug trafficking operations. The patrol also destroyed three tents planted with marijuana in the fields of Iaat – Baalbek.

The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining individuals involved.
