Arrest of Two Citizens Involved in an Incident in Barja - Chouf

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On April 24, 2025, following an incident involving gunfire that resulted in the death of a citizen in the town of Barja – Chouf, an army unit, assisted by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the residences of those involved in the incident and arrested two citizens, (M.M.) and (KH.A.), seizing weapons and military ammunition in their possession.
An investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining individuals involved.
