Arresting a suicide bomber in Hamra street

The Army Headquarters - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: 

In a qualitative joint operation with the coordination with the Information branch in the ISF, a force from the directorate of Intelligence thwarted around 10.30 last night a suicide bombing attempt in Costa Cafe in Hamra. The operation resulted in arresting suicide bomber Omar Hassan el Assi who was carrying his ID, and in seizing the explosive belt that was intended to be detonated.

The arrested individual had attempted to break into the café, leading to a fight with the armed forces and was afterwards transferred to the hospital for treatment.
