A boat drowned facing the Lebanese beach

on this date, information was provided concerning the drowning of a boat facing Cheikh Znad Beach – Akkar with 39 Syrian individuals on board who were illegally heading towards Cyprus. Consequently, a navy patrol attended the location immediately and worked on retrieving the body of a 5-year-old child and rescuing the others. 4 individuals were transferred to regional hospitals with the help of the Red Cross.

The issue is being followed up in coordination with the relevant authorities.
