Brigadier General P.S.C Hatem Mallak was promoted to the rank of Major General P.S.C and entrusted with the post of Army Chief of Staff In Charge.

 

In accordance with the decree number 4068 issued on 30/9/2016, Brigadier General Hatem Mallak was promoted to the rank of Major General P.S.C and entrusted with the post of Army Chief of Staff in Charge in accordance with the Army Command decision starting 1/10/2016.

The following information offer an exerpt of his biography:

- Born in Haret Jandal – Cazaa of Shouf on 16/10/1959

- Enlisted in the Army as a Cadet Officer on 12/6/1978

- Graduated from the Military Academy as Second Lieutenant on 1/8/1980 and gradually rose through the ranks and became Major General P.S.C starting 30/9/2016.

- Holder of a University degree in Military Sciences and masters the English and French languages.

- Followed several training courses in Lebanon, France, Jordan and the Arab Republic of Syria.

- Entrusted with several command posts: Company Commander – Chief of Division – Regional Headquarters Commander – Regional Division Chief – Deputy Commander of South Lebanon  regional command -  Single Judge in the regions of Beirut and South Lebanon – Head of the Militray Orientation and Media Body.

- Received the following medals: Medal of National Unity – Medal of the “Dawn of the South” – Lebanese Order of Merit first Grade, 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade – Medal of Military Valor  silver degree – National Order of the Cedar Knight Degree – 2002 Conferences Memorial Medal – Military Medal of Honor Silver Degree – National Order of the Cedar Knight degree – Medal in the Fight Against Terrorism.

- Received commendations and congratulations of the Army Commander on several occasions.

- Married with Mrs. Yasmin Mallak and father of three Children.
