Ceremony on the occasion of receiving engineering equipment donated by the Italian Battalion

The barrack of Benoit Barakat hosted this morning the handover ceremony of engineering equipment donated by the Italian Battalion to the Lebanese Army in the presence of Brigadier General Khalil el-Gemayel who represented the LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi and the UNIFIL’s Western Sector Commander Italian General Ugo Cillo. Brigadier General el-Gemayel delivered a speech on the occasion in which he commended the logistic support provided by the Italian authorities to the Lebanese Army and the social and development activities performed by the Italian Battalion to the benefit of the south inhabitants. In his turn, General Cillo delivered a speech where he praised the ongoing cooperation between the Lebanese Army and the International Force on all the levels.
Finally, Brigadier General el-Gemayel read an appreciation letter addressed from the LAF Commander and presented it, along with a commemorative sshield, to the Western Sector Commander.
