Chase and arrest of individuals who committed theft

As a result of the efforts exerted to thwart car theft and smuggling them to the Syrian territories, an Intelligence Directorate patrol seized in el-Kwakh – Hermel on 2/1/2020 two stolen vehicles after chasing the thieves who escaped to an unknown location.
On 6/1/2020, an Intelligence Directorate patrol chased a vehicle type Kia in the border town of el-Kwakh. The car was reported stolen days earlier and the chase resulted in the arrest of the Syrian national Raed Mohammad Zaydan who was driving it with the intention of smuggling it into the Syrian territories.
Investigation is underway under the supervision of the judiciary authorities and Army troops are on the lookout to locate the hideouts of the perpetrators in order to arrest them.
